Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, and Taoiseach to meet with Minister Paschal Donohoe

The Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 28 May, with the Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe TD.

The Dáil Select Committee will meet with Minister Donohoe at 3:30pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House to consider the Revised Estimates for Votes 7-10. This will be followed at 4:30pm with a wider engagement with the Minister on his department and related matters.

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Mairéad Farrell said: “The Committee welcomes this early opportunity to engage with the Minister Finance. The Select Committee of Dáíl Members will discuss with Minister Donohoe the Revised Estimates for the Minister’s Office, the Comptroller and Auditor General, the Revenue Commissioners and the Tax Appeals Commission.

“This will then be followed by the Joint Committee engaging with the Minister on key economic matters that fall under his remit. We are living in turbulent times with international affairs requiring the Irish state to respond in the economically appropriate manner. This Committee in its preparation of its work programme aims to raise, consider and report on a wide variety of issues within the Irish economy.”

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, and Taoiseach has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
