The Joint Committee on Defence and National Security resumes Pre-legislative Scrutiny of a General Scheme of the Defence Amendment Bill 2025 tomorrow, Thursday, 19th June 2025 at 9:30am in Committee Room 4 of Leinster House.
The Committee will hear from:
- Dr. Edward Burke , Academic, University College Dublin
- Mr. Declan Power, Specialist
Speaking ahead of the meeting Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh TD said “We continue our Pre-legislative Scrutiny of the Defence Amendment Bill tomorrow with more academic representatives from the University College Dublin and the Royal Institute of International Affairs.
“Over our last couple of meetings, the Committee has looked at a number of key aspects of the Defence Amendment Bill 2025. We will look to the academic representatives attending tomorrow to inform our final Pre-legislative Scrutiny report.”
