They are the people who in this century first introduced the gun into Irish politics....We expect them to take us seriously when we profess allegiance to an independent Irish State....all, that we believe not only in an independent Ireland, but that we also believe in parliamentary democracy...I consider it an outrage on Irish democracy that the defence of these principles should be left to Members...That is his contribution to the agony of the Irish people in 1972 or 1971.
