293 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the EU directives, under the aegis of his Department that are outstanding and remain to be implemented in Irish law to date. [17977/00]

Water quality standards for phosphorus were made in July, 1998 and statutory provision will shortly be made for water quality standards for a range of other dangerous substances.
