293 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the EU directives, under the aegis of his Department that are outstanding and remain to be implemented in Irish law to date. [17977/00]

1991/439/EEC	Driving Licences	01/07/1996	1 outstanding item is in the process of being implemented. Regulations to be made in 2000.
1991/676/EEC	Designation of vulnerable zones under the Nitrates Directives and related issues.	When required by reference to water quality data.	Specific statutory provision to be made and vulnerable zones to be designated in 2000.
1996/53/EC(Consolidated text)	Plating of certain vehicles with their maximum weights and dimensions.	17/09/1997	Regulations expected to be made within one month.
1996/53/EC(Consolidated text)	Increased weight limits for certain vehicles circulating in international traffic.	31/12/1998	Regulations expected to be made within one month.
1996/61/EC	Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control.	29/10/1999	Directive substantially anticipated by EPA Act, 1992; will be fully implemented by means of appropriate amendments to the Act, to be brought forward in 2000.
1996/62/EC	Ambient Air Quality Assessment and Management (“Framework Directive”)	21/05/1998	Elements not dependent on subsidiary directives were transposed in 1999. Regulations to be made in 2000/2001 to transpose remainder (See 99/30/EC)
1998/08/EC	Concerning the placing of biocidal products on the market.	13/05/2000	Consideration being given, by Departments/Agencies concerned, to arrangements for transposition and implementation of the Directive.
1998/14/EC	Motor vehicle type approval and conformity of production requirements to apply from 1 October 1999.	30/09/1998	It is planned to have Regulations to transpose the Directive made shortly.
1998/69/EC	Emission standards for the registration of new passenger cars and some light commercial vehicles to apply from 1 January 2001 or 2002 depending on vehicle size.	28/09/1999	It is planned to have Regulations to transpose the Directive made shortly.

1998/83/EC	Quality of water intended for human consumption.	25/12/2000	Regulations will be made in 2000.
1999/13/EC	Limitation of Emissions of VOC Compounds	April 2001	Regulations and/or national plans to be made/agreed to meet implementation date of April 2001.
1999/30/EC	Limit values for sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and oxides of nitrogen particulate matter and lead in ambient air (1st Daughter Directive).	19/7/2001	Regulations to be made to meet implementation date of July 2001.
1999/31/EC	Landfill of Waste	16/7/2001	Necessary Legislation will be introduced to meet this deadline.
1999/32/EC	Relating to a reduction in the sulphur content of certain liquid fuels.	01/07/2000	Regulations in preparation.
1999/94/EC	Availability of consumer information on fuel economy and CO2 emissions in respect of the marketing of new passenger cars.	18/1/2001	Regulations to be made to meet implementation date of January 2001.
