146 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if he will outline when carrier's and engineer's licences will be granted to a person (details supplied) in County Clare in view of the fact that he requires the engineer's licence urgently to enable him to repair and maintain aircraft; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An application for the grant of a class `C' authorisation to the company of which the person in question is a Director is being examined by my Department.

My Department are in communication with the person mentioned in regard to his aircraft maintenance engineer's licence. It would be inappropriate to disclose details of these communications.
