Joint Committee on Education,Further & Higher Education,Research,Innovation & Science to discuss a review of the Out of School Education Provision report & Education Supports for displaced Ukrainian students

The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science will meet in 2 sessions tomorrow Wednesday, 1 June at 17:30 . Session 1 will discuss both the Department of Education Report ‘Review of Out of School Education Provisions’ and Education Provision and Supports for displaced Ukrainian students. Session 2 continue with Education Provision and Supports for displaced Ukrainian students in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House. 

The meeting will be in 2 sessions and will hear from submissions from:

Session 1  (17:30-19:00)

Minister for Education, Norma Foley TD
Minister of State at the Department of Education, Josepha Madigan
 

Session 2 (19:00-20:30)

Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Simon Harris TD.

Speaking ahead of the meeting Committee Cathaoirleach, Deputy Paul Kehoe TD said “this Committee looks forward to the opportunity to gain valuable insights and updates from Minister Foley and Minister of State Madigan on  the published report and on Education Provision Supports in place for displaced Ukrainian students at primary and Post Primary Level. Minister Harris will continue the discussion on Education Provision and Supports for Ukrainian Students in Further and Higher Education.

The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
