Vol. 21 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DUNMANWAY WORKHOUSE.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is now in a position to sanction the reconstruction of the old boardroom, Dunmanway Workhouse, into a Cottage Hospital, in view of the ruinous condition of the existing hospital.

The Deputy will have observed that the recent report of the Poor Law Commission does not refer to Dunmanway as a centre for a district hospital. The matter will, however, be fully considered later when the recommendations of the Poor Law Commission are being dealt with.

Mr. MURPHY

I refer the Minister to a definite paragraph in the Report of the Commission suggesting the building I mention in my question as the most suitable one for an hospital.
