Vol. 30 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Solicitors' Preliminary Examinations.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he will consider the advisability of introducing proposals for legislation to amend the Solicitors (Ireland) Act, 1898, with a view to putting the Intermediate Certificate on an equality with the local examination, Oxford (Junior or Senior) in the matter of exemption from the preliminary examinations for solicitors.

I am in communication with the Incorporated Law Society on the subject matter of the Deputy's question and I shall communicate with the Deputy when I have had the advantage of the Incorporated Law Society's observations.
