Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Co. Wicklow Road Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether in view of the acute unemployment which prevails in the rural districts of West Wicklow caused by the depression in agriculture, etc., he will expedite a favourable decision regarding road schemes in this area which may be submitted by the Wicklow County Council.

There will not be any avoidable delay on my part in dealing with the proposals referred to.

Is the Minister aware that the scheme has been in the hands of the Department for a fortnight and that it has been neither sanctioned nor refused up to the present time?
