The members of the Dáil will have learned with deep regret of the death of Deputy Captain William Redmond, who represented the constituency of Waterford City. As the Dáil is aware, the late Captain Redmond represented Waterford in this House and elsewhere for a number of years. He bore a name that has been long associated with Irish politics, and was himself devoted from an early age to the service of the Irish people. I would ask you, A Chinn Comhairle, on behalf of the Dáil, to convey to the widow and relatives an expression of our sincere sympathy in their bereavement.
Deputies rose in their places.
