Vol. 205 No. 1

Written Answers. - Milk Sample Regulations.

186.

asked the Minister for Agriculture what regulations exist covering the taking of samples of milk delivered to creameries for assessment of butter fat on payment for milk; if a sample must be taken every day; and, if not, at what intervals.

The sampling of milk delivered to creameries is regulated by the Milk and Cream (Calculation of Price) Order, 1928 (SRO No. 23 of 1928). Under Paragraph 5 (e) of that Order, a sample of a supplier's milk must be taken at the time of each delivery of the milk to the creamery.
