asked the Minister for Finance if he will state, with reference to the inspectors' report on Irish Estates Limited (paragraph 221 at page 75), if the matters which Mr. Doody reported in his letter to the Minister dated 3rd June, 1961 had come to his notice prior to the receipt of the said letter; and, if so, what action he took when these matters came to his notice; and when he took such action.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Estates Limited.
The matters referred to had not come to my notice prior to the receipt of Mr. Doody's letter dated 3rd June, 1961.
10.
asked the Minister for Finance, if, with reference to the inspectors' report on Irish Estates Limited, he will obtain from the Irish Life Assurance Company and publish as an addendum to the report the information referred to in paragraphs 85 and 217 of the Report.
I have requested the Irish Life Assurance Co. Ltd., to furnish me with the information referred to, and on its receipt I will consider in consultation with the company, whether it would be in their general interests to have it published. If the Deputy will repeat his question at a later date, I may be in a position to give him more information in the matter.
Will the Minister say when that will be? Will it be within two weeks?
I do not know. It would be necessary to consult with the company as to whether it should be published or not.
