Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inquiry into Mental Handicap.

Mr. O'Malley
The Deputy will appreciate the need to take full account of the observations of the voluntary bodies which operate the service at present, especially in view of the Commission's recommendation that services for the mentally handicapped should continue to be based as far as possible on voluntary agencies. The views of some of these agencies were received only very recently. The views of others are expected shortly. When all these, and the views of the interested Departments, have been considered I shall announce my decision without delay.
