Vol. 227 No. 5

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Flooding.

37.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the repeated flooding of houses at Stradbrook, Blackrock, County Dublin; and what steps are being taken by Dún Laoghaire Corporation and Dublin County Council to deal with this matter satisfactorily.

Stradbrook is one of the areas included in contract No. 2 of the South County Dublin Surface Water Drainage Scheme, contract drawings for which were approved by me recently.

I understand that the contract has now been advertised for tender.

Is the Minister satisfied that the proposed drainage scheme will be adequate?

Yes, I am sure it will. It has been sanctioned by my Department, so I presume the Department are satisfied it will be adequate.
