Vol. 227 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pension and Sick Pay Schemes.

30.

asked the Minister for Finance if a decision has yet been made by his Department with regard to (a) a pension scheme and (b) a sick-pay scheme for manual workers employed by his Department for whom no scheme is already in existence.

With regard to (a) the details of a pension scheme for unestablished building trade workers employed directly by the Office of Public Works are under discussion with the workers concerned and their representatives.

As regards (b), the matter is still under consideration. I hope to be in a position soon to give a decision.
