Vol. 246 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transport of County Tipperary Mentally Handicapped Children.

20.

asked the Minister for Education if he will improve the school bus service from the Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, catchment area to the mentally handicapped school at Lady Lane, Waterford city, to cater for the almost 100 per cent increase of eligible children who wish to attend that school in the coming year and who must enrol before the end of this term; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It has been agreed that a second minibus be provided to cater for those extra children from the Carrick-on-Suir area who will attend the special schools in Waterford and arrangements are being made to have this second service put into operation without delay.
