Vol. 261 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Registry Fees.

52.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will permit fees in the Land Registry to be paid by cash in the case of personal callers.

As I mentioned in my Estimate speech in the House on 12th April last a study group which was set up to review the organisation and procedures in the Land Registry made recommendations for the introduction of a system of payment of fees by cash rather than by Revenue stamps. The recommendations are at present under consideration and I hope to have a system of payment by cash brough into operation as soon as possible.
