Vol. 276 No. 4

Written Answers. - Issue of Children's Allowance Book.

140.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a children's allowance book will be issued to a person (name supplied) in County Meath in respect of her child who was born in July, 1974; and the reason for the delay in dealing with this case.

A children's allowance book was sent in the usual way by post to the person concerned on 14th August, 1974. It now transpires however that the local post office, which is also the office of payment for that person's children's allowance, held the book for collection instead of having is delivered to the addressee. A replacement book and a payable order in respect of arrears have now been sent to the person concerned.

The Dáil adjourned at 5 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 3rd December, 1974.
