Vol. 289 No. 7

Foyle Fisheries (Amendment) Bill, 1976: Committee and Final Stages.

Section 1 agreed to.
SECTION 2.

I move amendment No. 1:

In page 2, line 16, to delete "thereof".

The amendment proposes to delete the word "thereof" after the words "exercisable by any other Ministry, Department or authority". The intention in so doing is to widen the scope of the section so as to extend to any changes in the relevant Ministry, Department or authority on the Northern side which may be responsible for Foyle fishery matters at any future date. The Ministry for Agriculture in Northern Ireland now deals with the Foyle fisheries but it may happen that the Foyle fisheries may be removed from the jurisdiction of that Ministry to some other authority and this section covers such an eventuality.

Section 2, as amended, agreed to.
Section 3 agreed to.
