asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy if he will furnish the following information on the operations of Bord na Móna in relation to briquette factories in 1975-76 and 1976/77; (a the total wages and salaries paid in respect of production and maintenance work at the factories (b) other wages and salaries charged to the factories (c) the volume in tonnes of milled peat supplied to the factories (d) the average cost per ton of milled peat charged to the factories together with the total charge and (e) the sales of briquettes in tonnes and the revenue therefrom.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy the amount of wages and salaries in (a) 1975/76 and (b) 1976/77 attributable to or charged to the following operations; (a) machine peat and milled peat delivered to ESB, briquette factories and tip-heads (b) peat moss and peat moss factories (c) agricultural development (d) drainage and other bog development (e) other wage and salary expenditure and (f) total wages and salaries.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy if he will state in respect of milled peat production for 1975/76 (a) the total amount of milled peat produced (b) the average charge per ton of milled peat supplied to the ESB (c) the average charge per ton of milled peat supplied to the briquette factories (d) the average charge per ton for other sales of milled peat (e) the average wage content cost of producing a ton of milled peat and (f) the other costs in the all-in production costs per ton delivered to the ESB and the briquette factories.

It is proposed with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle to answer Questions Nos. 359, 360 and 361 together. The information required by the Deputy is in the form of a tabular statement which is attached and which will be circulated with the Official Report.
