Vol. 305 No. 2

Written Answers. - Meath Disability Benefit Payment.

443.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware that a person in County Meath (details supplied) is due three weeks disability benefit for the period November-December 1977; and if he will arrange to have this benefit paid to him.

The person referred to by the Deputy was not paid disability benefit at the time of claiming it as, according to the records of the Department, he appeared to have insufficient social insurance contributions in the contribution year governing his claim. It has since been ascertained that contributions which had been collected by the Department on his behalf were inadvertently not credited to his insurance record. The matter has since been rectified and all disability benefit due was paid on 4 April 1978.
