asked the Minister for Health if he will hold an independent inquiry which will report publicly on (i) the circumstances surrounding the death of Sandra Sutton which resulted in her father and step-mother being sentenced to terms of imprisonment on Friday 14th May, 1982; (ii) the involvement of the Eastern Health Board with the family; (iii) the measures taken by the Board to provide Sandra Sutton with protection against parental assault; (iv) ascertaining the inadequacies which existed in these services; and (v) the measures which should be taken as a matter of urgency to remedy these inadequacies.
