Vol. 350 No. 4

Written Answers. - Foundation Inspection.

539.

asked the Minister for the Environment when it is hoped to inspect the foundation trenches for a proposed new house for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

Foundation inspections are not normally necessary unless the builder is obtaining a six-year structural guarantee from the National House Building Guarantee Company. The company can trace no application in respect of the person named from the information supplied. However, in any event the normal inspection for grant purposes will be carried out shortly in this case.
