Vol. 364 No. 10

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

163.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reasons beef cow payments have not been made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; if he will now direct his Department to make an immediate payment to this person; if he will detail the grants paid to him over the past year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named has not applied for beef cow grants in respect of his holding in the less severely handicapped areas and if he did apply, he would be ineligible as he has a dairy herd. Under 1985 schemes, he was paid £424 cattle headage on 20 November 1985 in respect of his home holding situated in the more severely handicapped areas and also £87.75 calf premium on 15 January 1986.
