Vol. 365 No. 10

Written Answers. - Registration of Nursing Home.

80.

asked the Minister for Health when he will be in a position to register a nursing home (details supplied) in Dublin 16.

Every private nursing home is required to comply with the provisions of the Health (Homes for Incapacitated Persons) Act, 1964, and the Homes for Incapacitated Persons Regulations, 1985. The nursing home in question has been inspected by the Eastern Health Board on a number of occasions and the proprietor is now in the course of making alterations and installing additional fittings as required by the health board. When this work is completed the home will again be inspected and a decision will then be made as to whether it will be placed on the list which the health board maintains of nursing homes in its area.
