I propose to take Questions Nos. 54, 55 and 56 together. The applications for remedial teachers for national school are being processed at present by my Department.

Remedial teaching posts are allocated in accordance with a priority of need and the application of Dripsey, Berrings and Vicarstown (Matehy) national schools for a remedial teaching scheme on a shared basis will be considered in the light of the availability of remedial posts for 1986-87.

The chairman of the board of management will be advised when a decision has been taken in the matter.
