Vol. 372 No. 13

Written Answers. - Milk Cessation Scheme.

94.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give details of the next phase of the milk cessation scheme; if the unsuccessful applicants in the last scheme will be given priority; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The arrangements for the second stage of the cessation scheme were announced by me and published in the national newspapers on 21 May. Under these arrangements I have provided that priority will be given to applicants who were unsuccessful for the first stage of the scheme. My Department are at present writing to each of these producers to seek confirmation that they wish their applications to stand.
