Vol. 405 No. 6

Written Answers. - Coastal Storm Damage.

Brendan Howlin

Question:

148 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for the Environment if, in relation to coastal storm damage and the subsequent reports received by him from county engineers, he will outline when his Department's officials will have completed their inspections; when the necessary financial allocations will be made to local authorities; and if he has determined the total financial support which will be made available.

On-site investigations of reported storm damage to public roads and bridges were completed by officials from my Department in the week ending 15 February, 1990.

Road grant assistance towards the cost of remedial works on public roads and bridges will be determined and notified shortly in appropriate cases.
