Vol. 415 No. 1

Written Answers. - Headage Payments Regulations.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

207 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if new regulations are being considered so that all headage payments and other EC payments will only be paid to farmers through a bank account; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have arranged that payments will issue directly to farmers this year under all headage and premia schemes. I will consult with the farm organisations in regard to any changes which may be contemplated in payment arrangements for farmers in the future.
