Vol. 415 No. 1

Written Answers. - Donegal Town Hospital Plans.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

386 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Health if she has any plans to (a) extend the hospital in Donegal town or (b) to provide extra facilities there, such as X-ray equipment; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The responsibility for providing hospital services in Donegal is a matter for the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. The board have advised me that they are committed to the development of Donegal hospital and subject to the availability of funds they plan to increase the number of in-patient beds available for care of the elderly in south west Donegal.
