I propose to take Questions Nos. 52, 59, 80, 88 and 97 together.
The terms and conditions of the supply of gas for fertiliser production are the subject of long term contracts dating from 1976 and 1987 between NET, BGE and IFI, to which I am not a party.
The issue of the continued supply of gas to NET/IFI at less than the full economic price was raised in the recently published report of the Industrial Policy Review Group. The report suggested that a task force be established to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations made in the report.
In line with this, the Government have decided to establish a committee to follow up on the recommendations in the report. My Department and I will co-operate fully with the committee.
