Vol. 420 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Custom House Docks Site.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

9 Mr. Quinn asked the Taoiseach if he will publish the feasibility study on the building of the National Museum in the Custom House Docks site in respect to his reply to a recent parliamentary question; if he will outline the decisions which have now been taken in relation to this matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

New studies are now being undertaken for the provision of the Decorative Arts Museum at the Custom House Docks site. The new studies are required because of the decision to locate a new purpose built museum building at the west side of George's Dock instead of locating it in a refurbished Stack A. Proposals for the next phase of the development are being formulated by the Custom House Docks Authority and these will be submitted to the Minister for the Environment.
