I propose to take Questions Nos. 50, 60, 62, and 422 together.

As I stated in response to a question from Deputy Kenny on 9 June I was pleased to meet representatives of the County Mayo Vocational Education Committee and of the Mayo R.T.C. Action Group in Castlebar on 2 June last.

At the meetings I reiterated my invitation to submit proposals on appropriate developments in County Mayo and my willingness to approve subject to viability the first year of a number of National Certificate Programmes on an outreach basis.

This position remains unaltered. I look forward to receipt of proposals in the matter.
