Vol. 453 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Lottery.

Seamus Brennan

Question:

62 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, he has to allocate national lottery proceeds for recreational facilities and other statutory areas in 1995; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9011/95]

While I, as Minister for Finance, have overall responsibility for the national lottery, it is the Government which decides under section 5 of the National Lottery Act, 1986, the purposes for which the proceeds are to be allocated. Full details of the 1995 allocations, including allocations for recreational facilities are contained in Appendix I of the Revised Estimates Volume which was published recently, copies of which are contained in the Oireachtas Library.
