Vol. 456 No. 7

Written Answers. - Staff Relocation.

Peadar Clohessy

Question:

63 Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the plans, if any, he has to relocate staff within his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14578/95]

I assume the Deputy is referring to the Government decision of 26 July 1995 to relocate 350 staff of my Department to Johnstown Castle, County Wexford. In this context, discussions are currently under way between officials of my Department and the Office of Public Works on the accommodation brief for the new decentralised office and on the provision of alternative accommodation for the personnel remaining in Dublin. When suitable accommodation is provided, staff will be relocated as deemed necessary to implement the Government decision.
