19 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry whether the alterations in official documentation which came to light in the Emerald Meats case have been reported by his Department to the Garda for investigation; and if not, the reason therefor. [13784/96]

Arising from the discovery of documents in the Emerald Meats case it is understood that the proprietor of Emerald Meats reported an alteration in documetation to the Garda. The Garda are investigating the matter and a detailed statement has been provided by my Department.
