150 Mr. Briscoe asked the Minister for the Environment when the inter-departmental committee on the transfer of the administration of the social welfare allowance rent subsidy scheme from health boards to local authorities will report; when he will implement its proposals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The inter-departmental committee is currently considering the wide range of submissions which it has received. It is not possible at this stage to give a precise timescale for completion of the committee's report.
