99 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education when construction work will begin and the estimated date of completion of work for a school (details supplied) in County Mayo included in this years capital building programme. [6550/97]
100 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for Education the current position in respect of a school (details supplied) in County Mayo; and when this school will be approved for a new classroom and toilets. [7170/97]
My Department is currently considering the cost plan for the proposed extension at the school referred to by the Deputy. When this stage is completed satisfactorily, my Department will advise the school management to apply for planning permission.
A decision on the timing of the tender process will be taken in light of the existing contractual commitments on the primary school building programme when the project is ready for tender.
I am unable to indicate when construction will commence or a likely completion date.
