Vol. 478 No. 7

Written Answers - Legal Costs.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

149 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Education the total cost to the public purse of a Labour Court hearing in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Laois who was found to have been discriminated against by County Laois vocational education committee, including the award of compensation, the award of back pay and all legal costs, outlay and expenses; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12070/97]

My Department was not a party to the Labour Court hearing referred to by the Deputy. The vocational education committee has been requested to submit the relevant information to my Department. As soon as it is received, I will inform the Deputy of the position.
