70 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Defence the number of personnel that will be based at James Stephens Barracks, Kilkenny arising from the amalgamation of the 3rd and 30th Infantry Battalion; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23025/97]

It is not the policy to disclose details of the number of personnel deployed in any particular post, barrack or unit of the Defence Forces. However, it is envisaged that not all sub-units of the amalgamated battalion will be located in Dún Mhic Stíofáin, Kilkenny.
