113 Mr. Daly asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the big backlog of applications for funding under the local improvements scheme in County Clare; and if he will provide additional resources for these works in 1998. [4472/98]
In the context of a review of the local improvements scheme which I have initiated, county councils, including Clare County Council, have been asked for information regarding the scheme, including the number of applications on hands at the end of each year for the last ten years. Allocations to individual local authorities for 1998 will be determined when the review of the scheme has been completed.
