Vol. 489 No. 6

Written Answers. - Third Level Courses.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

792 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science if favourable consideration can be given to the application by a person (details supplied) in County Kildare for enrolment in a course at Cathal Brugha Street College in Dublin, in view of the fact that this person will be 18 years of age on 3 September 1998, and in view of her medical circumstances; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9458/98]

The Dublin Institute of Technology is a statutory body established under the Dublin Institute of Technology Act, 1992. Under that Act, the governance and day-to-day activities of the institute are matters for which the governing body and the management staff of the institute are responsible. Accordingly, I would refer the Deputy to the authorities in the Dublin Institute of Technology at Fitzwilliam House, 30 Upper Pembroke Street, Dublin 2.
