208 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if arrangements will be made for sheep headage and beef premium payments to be made immediately to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19552/98]

The area aid application of the person named has been fully processed and land parcel overclaims have been detected. Payments based on the reduced area or, if necessary, payments subject to penalties, should issue within the next four weeks.

There is no record of receiving a 1998 area aid application from the persons concerned.

If they have a proof of postage of the 1998 application, this should be submitted to the Department.
