Vol. 498 No. 5

Written Answers. - Rail Accidents.

John Bruton

Question:

97 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the persons, if any, to whom compensation payments have been agreed or made resulting from the derailment of a passenger train at Knockcroghery, County Roscommon, in November 1997; and the amounts involved in each case. [28081/98]

The question of compensation payments resulting from the derailment of a passenger train is an operational matter for Iarnród Éireann. I have no function in these matters.
