337 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans, if any, he has to assist persons (details supplied) living on an island where there is no primary school and no formal or proper access on and off the island in view of the fact their son is due to attend primary school on the mainland in autumn 1999. My officials are currently examining the position of persons who are in a similar situation to the persons referred to by the Deputy.

In the circumstances if the Deputy wishes to write to the primary administration section of my Department, giving full details of the case, my officials will be happy to include this case in their examination of the matter.
