Vol. 506 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Perry

Question:

57 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will receive a REP scheme payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15562/99]

The person named was selected at random for a pre-payment inspection on his second year application. This inspection has been carried out and payment will issue shortly.

John V. Farrelly

Question:

58 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Meath has not been paid a £300 fodder scheme grant in view of the fact she is in a disadvantaged area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15563/99]

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. However, the registered herdowner did not lodge an application for the 1998 suckler cow premium, ewe premium or sheep headage schemes and did not hold a milk quota at 1 April 1998. Therefore he does not qualify for assistance under the winter fodder scheme.

My Department has no record of receiving an application from the registered herdowner, under the special fodder hardship fund scheme.

Question:

59 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a REP scheme payment will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15564/99]

Deficiencies were found in the applicant's agri-environmental plan and both he and his planner were requested to submit a plan which fully met the scheme specifications. A revised plan was subsequently received and is being assessed at present by my Department. No payment can issue until my Department is satisfied that the revised plan conforms to the scheme specifications.

Question:

60 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a REP scheme payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15565/99]

A discretionary check carried out on this holding on 26 May last has given rise to a number of issues which require further clarification before payment can issue.
