Vol. 512 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

151 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Galway has not received 1999 cattle headage, suckler cow and ten month special beef premia. [25629/99]

Due to difficulties associated with an amendment made by the applicant to his original area aid application form, processing of the application form for the person concerned was completed only last week. Outstanding headage and premia payments will issue as soon as possible.

Question:

152 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1999 cattle headage in view of the fact he submitted proof of his entitlement to commonage. [25630/99]

The person named in this case included commonage in his 1999 area aid application but did not provide proof of his entitlement to claim this commonage. The herdowner has been informed of this and his application cannot be processed further until this proof is provided.
