Vol. 513 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Austin Currie

Question:

240 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Education and Science the provision, if any, he will made to ensure that children with special needs from Castleknock, Dublin 15, will be provided with school transport to Catherine McAuley national school, Baggot Street, Dublin 2, in view of the fact that Bus Éireann cannot provide a suitable service and the grant being offered is not sufficient for a taxi service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2820/00]

The issue raised by the Deputy is currently being examined by my Department. The Deputy will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible.
