The total allocation to Mayo County Council in 2000 of £11,931,000 is an increase of 8% on the corresponding 1999 allocation. Allocations to Ballina UDC, Castlebar UDC and Westport UDC have also increased since last year to £137,000, £137,000 and £187,000 from £114,000, £114,000 and £133,000 respectively.
I am confident these significant increases in grant allocations will greatly benefit the non-national road network in Mayo county and urban districts.
