Vol. 515 No. 1

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Jim Higgins

Question:

235 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the failure by his Department to have work undertaken on Granlahan primary school, Ballinlough, County Roscommon (details supplied) which was approved by letter on the 26 November 1998. [5573/00]

The current position is that working drawings are in preparation and this process is expected to be completed shortly. The intention is to progress the project to construction stage as soon as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand in my Department.
